MemorialCare Surpasses 150k Vaccines
Thursday, June 24, 2021
MemorialCare, a leading Southern California nonprofit integrated health system, has administered more than 153,000 vaccine doses and counting in Orange and Los Angeles counties, including nearly 30,000 doses to the most vulnerable and hard to reach, since vaccines became available December 2020.
MemorialCare has reached deep into neighborhoods to vaccinate some of the region’s most vulnerable populations – in their homes, in pop-up clinics, in senior facilities and at their hospitals. They have partnered with the cities of Irvine, Anaheim, Santa Ana, and community groups including the Long Beach Immigrant Rights Coalition, Centro CHA, Long Beach Forward, and the City of Long Beach Black Health Equity Collaborative and the NAACP to help ensure equity and accessibility to the underserved.
MemorialCare has also partnered with local employers including the Los Angeles Angels, Applied Medical Resources Corporation, Farmers & Merchants Bank, Huntington Beach Union High School District and Capistrano Unified School District to vaccinate their employees.
MemorialCare is a platinum-level Leaders Circle partner of the Greater Irvine Chamber.
