Jessica Welch Honored Among Young Professionals by National Chamber Association

Jessica Welch, vice president of operations for the Greater Irvine Chamber has been awarded the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) 2019 40 Under 40 award.
The ACCE 40 Under 40 award is a new honor presented by the organization meant to highlight the brightest men and women under the age of 40 in the chamber industry who have demonstrated significant success in their career as well as having made noteworthy contributions to their community and the chamber industry.
Rising to be a top executive at the Greater Irvine Chamber, Welch has been instrumental in leading the organization to numerous accomplishments, including earning a Five-Star Accreditation by the United States Chamber of Commerce. She has served as a role model for countless professionals throughout the chamber industry and in the local business community.“It’s an honor to be recognized among my colleagues in the chamber industry. I can say with confidence that we are all driven by our commitment to serving our members and our communities,” Welch said. “I’m fortunate to have had generous mentors during my career. I can follow their example to help develop the next generation of leaders.”
The full 40 Under 40 class was announced publicly at the ACCE Annual Convention in Long Beach on July 15. Welch has also been recognized as a 2018 Woman to Watch by the California Women’s Leadership Association, a statewide organization committed to bringing together influential women to effect meaningful change in communities. In 2018 she graduated from Leadership Tomorrow Orange County, a nonprofit organization designed to cultivate, inspire, connect, and empower an effective community of leaders. Welch serves on the board of the Western Association of Chamber Executives (WACE), WACE Foundation, WACE Academy Steering Committee, and is a regular speaker at the association’s annual conferences. She is a graduate of WACE’s 3-year chamber management Academy, and currently chairs WACE’s Emerging Leaders Council. Welch received WACE’s 2018 Gerald W. Hathaway Staff Person of the Year Award. She serves on the ACCE IDEA Lab Taskforce, and is a graduate from the U.S. Chamber’s West Institute for Organization Management, a development program for association, chamber, and nonprofit professionals.
