Abundant parks and open spaces; family-oriented, multicultural connected villages; and world-class educational institutions are features that contribute to Irvine’s unparalleled quality of life, landing the city in the No. 2 spot on Wallethub’s list of happiest cities to live in the United States.
WalletHub compared 182 of the nation's largest cities and evaluated them on three main categories: emotional and physical well-being, income and employment, and community and environment. California swept the ranking, totaling 14 cities in the top 50.
A master-planned community, Irvine’s beautifully manicured office parks are surrounded by more than 16,000 acres of parks, sports fields, and dedicated open space, offering residents and visitors alike preserved natural habitats and wildlands with miles of hiking and biking trails. Irvine has also been ranked America’s Safest City of its size by the FBI for 13 consecutive.
